We are a loving family home that offer Holiday care, (& Day-Care space permitting) for small to medium sized dogs in our home at Wilnecote. Situated on the Staffordshire Warwickshire border in close proximity to Tamworth we are well positioned (within walking distance) to the country side villages of Polesworth & Birchmoor.
Both my husband and & I have grown up with dogs in our family and through work.
Up until recently (April '19) our family also comprised of Scooby our old JRTx girl who had been with us from a small pup, but at age 14-1/2 yrs sadly we had to let Scooby go over the rainbow bridge but her memory lives on here with us all at Blossom House and with our regular clients that came to know her. We all miss her so much and there will be always photos of her on our FaceBook Pace @Blossomhousedogsbnb
We are carrying on with our service and "Sonny" our resident Day-Care dog has taken over Scoobys role in mentoring our newbies that come stay with us. Sonny is a friendly Cavachon boy he likes to shout a bit on first meeting you but soon quietens down when he gets to know you and welcomes all dogs providing they have a friendly temperament and can co-habit with him.
We will take 3 dogs (max) from 1 family home, we like to be considerate of guests holiday dates. Please please be aware that at times it may be unavoidable if there is a cross over of familys dogs staying at any one time between either the start or end of booking dates. We will try to advise in advance and minimise this but again we have the space to separate different family guests boarding when those occassions do occur.
You can be assured that if your dog comes to stay with us as a guest they will be treated as one of our family.

Boarding in a home environment can be more relaxed for your dog, with more time for play and long walks with plenty of cuddles and fuss thrown in for good measure, than boarding in a noisy fast paced kennel environment.
After putting Scooby into kennels previously when she was younger I always hated leaving her little sad face as she was locked into her run, and I also disliked the amount of echoey barking noise on collecting her as every dog in the kennel seemed to think it was their turn to go home too.
Scooby was always well looked after and the staff at the kennels I boarded with were always great, but a Boarding Kennels is not the same as a home environment with the attention and length of walks less for each dog as there are undoubtably more dogs to look after in a boarding kennels than in Home Boarding.
Home Boarding on the whole is a lot quieter, which is great for the more anxious or unsure/less confident dogs. A home environment can be more stimulating for your dog as it will get to go on many varied walks, play opportunities and have one to one attention for the length of its stay. It will be calmer for your dog to settle in than being housed in an unfamiliar kennel run surrounded by other vocal guests.
As a family we would like to share our home for Home Boarding as an option for those dogs that do not like the stress of a Kennel stay.
