Blossom House Dogs B’n’B Terms  & Conditions

1) Booking

1.1 All services are charged as Overnight rate (24hrs) Fixed Weekend rate or Day-rate as advertised and agreed on the booking form  Additional hours beyond the agreed timed period of stay are charged at £1 per additional hour (per dog).

1.2 Bank Holidays, Christmas, New Year, Easter may incur additional fees  (+1/2) of which you will be advised of at the time of booking.

1.3 A “Meet & Greet” consultation is required prior to booking for ALL NEW DOGS. A 1/2 day or Overnight trial stay (chargeable) is requested prior to any long stay booking (for a settling in period).

1.4 All bookings must be made at least 24 hours before arrival date (should space allow)

1.5 We do not accept males that have not been neutered (Discretionary) or un-spayed females in season or due to be in season (seperate sheet details this). This is for the well-being of all dogs in our home and area.

1.6 We do not board dogs under 12 months old (discretionary). However if we feel that the dog in question U12months is suited to our home we will board with a 12month & U care plan in place - please note that we are neither trainers or behaviourists. 

1.7We reserve the right to decline any booking request at "Meet & Greet" if  we think your dog will be unsuitable to be housed in our family home with children and our resident dog.

2) Cancellations & Liability

2.1 In the event of cancellations notified to us within 14 days prior to the start of the “booking” period, any fees paid (less the non-refundable deposit) will be either refunded or carried over to a future booking.

2.2 Bookings cancelled after the 14 day period upto 24hrs prior to the start of the “booking” period require 50% payment of the balance for the service booked.

2.3 If BHDBnB cannot provide the service agreed due to extreme or extenuating circumstances we will endeavour to give you 24 hours notice & on that occasion return the paid deposit (alternatively this can be carried over to a future booking).

2.4 BHDBnB shall not be liable to the client or deemed to be in breach of the Booking by reason of delay in performing or failure to perform any of it's obligations in relation to the service if the delay or failure was due to any cause beyond the reasonable control of BHDBnB.

3) Illness

3.1  Under no circumstance will BHDBnB board any dog(s) that have active contagious disease in any form. To avoid any doubt veterinary guidance will need to be taken before bringing to board. illness needs to be clear 24hours of boarding date and BHDBnB will seek veterinary guidance before accepting to board. If your dog is showing symptoms of diahorrea or any contagious illness (eg; kennel cough) which will be harmful to other dogs in our care, alternative care arrangements will need to be made by you  the client in these circumstances and refunds will be discussed & allocated accordingly.

3.2 Whilst in our care if your dog(s) start to show signs of illness/contagious illness they will be put into our isolation quarters and appropriate veterinary advice will be undertaken. This may mean your dog(s) being transported out of our premises to your emergency contact, kennel or veterinary environment until your return/illness subsides. We will contact you in all cases to discuss. This is to prevent the spread of disease or illness to other dogs in our care.

4) Aggressive Animals

4.1 BHDBnB WILL NOT accept aggressive or dangerous animals/breeds that come under the Dangerous Dogs ACT 1991.

4.2 We WILL NOT board unruly or untrained dogs.

4.3 The client agrees to be responsible for all costs (including but not limited to medical care, legal fees, etc) if the clients pet should bite another animal or human whilst in our care.

4.4 You the client agree on booking our service, they have represented that their dog(s) has not shown any aggression, caused harm, or threatening behaviour to any individual or dog. You the  client agree to contact BHDBnB as soon as possible if any of these behavioural changes present itself or if it has the potential to cause harm to any individual or dog  whilst in the care of BHDBnB

4.5 If a clients dog whilst being boarded, shows aggression towards BHDBnB or family, or it’s behaviour becomes unacceptable or a nuisance beyond reasonable acceptance or control, the client agrees that the dog shall be placed with either the emergency contact stated on the Booking Form or in a Boarding Kennel for the remainder of the booking until the client returns. The fee paid for the remainder of the stay will be non refundable and any subsequent kennel fees incurred will be paid directly by the client to the other boarding establishment on collection of their dog(s).

5) Insurance

5.1 All reasonable care is made to ensure the suitability of care provided for each individual dog entrusted to us. BHDBnB has valid public liability insurance associated with running a Home Boarding Business. (Copy  te is available for viewing).

5.2 Our Insurance covers ourselves BHDBnB for the duration of your booking dates and for the care of your dog(s) within the booking form for additional peace of mind we recommend that your dog(s) are covered by your own insurance (details are requested on our form).

6) Medication

6.1 BHDBnB will follow client instructions as discussed & set out on the booking form for administering medication, but we cannot be held responsible for any complications that may arise as a result (we are unable to administer injections).

6.2 A copy of a valid upto date Vaccination certificate is required for the duration of the stay. Without current Vaccinations we are unable to board your dog(s). KC vaccinations (Bordatella) is not required but if given, must be clear 14 days prior to boarding (live shedding vaccine).

6.3 If BHDBnB is bitten or exposed to any disease or ailment received from the clients dog(s)  which has not been correctly vaccinated against, the client will be responsible for all costs and damages that may be incurred as a result.

7) Unforseen Purchases

7.1 In the event that additional items need to be purchased in the absence of the client ie– pet-food or other necessary items that contribute to the health & well being of your pet, BHDBnB will purchase these, and retain all receipts. The client will be responsible for reimbursement of receipts on pet collection day.

8) Damage

8.1 BHDBnB limits access to items deemed to be destructable and dogs are supervised accordingly. In the unforseen circumstances your dog damages or destroys any property, article or furniture owned by BHDBnB (or belonging to another guest) cost of damage will be advised and re-imbursement to cover costs of the damage or a replacement item will be required to be provided by yourself the client. This may be resolved via a monetary transaction or insurance means.

9) Collars

9.1 Please provide a secure collar for your dog—We  add our own Boarding ID tag whilst your dog(s) is with us.  Collars are removed at night and if dogs are crated at any time.

10) Crates

10.1 We only use crates with owner consent (unless in an absolute emergency situation). If dogs are crate trained and use it frequently as part of their day-time or night-time routine. Owners are requested to provide their own suitable/usual crate in good order.

11) Date Changes

11.1 BHDBnB carefully schedule times to work with clients arriving and departing, and are aware that sometimes things change and we will do our best to work with you. However we do  refund or credit any early return or last minute changes to booked dates.

11.2 In the event you are delayed on return (due to flights/traffic etc) please inform BHDBnB as soon as possible and we will endeavour to make suitable arrangements for continuation of care.

12) Payment

12.1 BHDBnB accepts payment as : CASH/BANK TRANSFER or CHEQUE payable to :-Mrs S. Palin T/A Blossom House Dogs B’n’B

12.2 50% Deposit is payable at the time of booking (dates will not be held without a deposit payment)

12.3 Remaining balance is due on (or just before if bank transfer) the first day of stay/booking - no payment no stay.

12.4 Where payment is not received in accordance with our T&C's BHDBnB reserve the right not to proceed with any arranged booking.

13) Updates 

13.1 Please inform us if there are any changes regarding contact numbers, emergency contact details or your dogs care needs for your booking.

14) Privacy

14.1 BHDBnB  comply with GDPR (General Data Protection Regulations 2018) . BHDBnB keep your information private and confidential. We will not pass on your details to any outlying source. Our "consents form" asks permission for us to retain your data only for the purposes of our routine business and bookings with you. Information is stored for minimum time solely for use in communication for our business updates with you and the welfare of your dog(s). You can request at any time to be removed from our files.

By Signing the accompanying Consent Form, it is deemed that you have read, understandand & agree to the above Terms & Conditions of BHDBnB (copy kept on file for record purposes).
